Description
This is my favorite Goose. As you know they were all different cobbled together by roundhouse crews, most probably at Ridgway, CO. One of the highest points on the Rio Grande Southern Railway was Lizard Head Pass. Even today, the iconic rock formation finds its way into photographs displayed in Colorado destination guides and magazines. The railroad ceased operation and was abandoned in 1951. Oh how short sighted that would prove to be now. Considering how well the Silverton train has done over the years, this would have to be a great competitor if we could just take another ride like back in the day.
