Faced with losing the use of their other two locomotives for required maintenance, Union Pacific went on a search last year for the Big Boy in the best state of preservation. They found 4014 in Pomona, CA. It will soon be enroute to Cheyenne, WY for rebuild. This was the largest steam engine to ever grace the rails and it will run in service again.
