This was a watershed painting for me. It was done in 1995 on a program called PhotoDeluxe. I was experimenting with this new software and realized that I could selectively delete the background around this DC 9 which was taxiing when I shot the photo. Once I isolated the DC 9 from the background I added colors and then moved them around like one would do with a brush. This is what I got and it changed my artistic life from that moment on. I began doing only digital from this painting on. Digital give me more ways to enhance what I put down on the digital canvas and then take it to levels I can only do inside a computer. BTW, I did fly this 9 and every other one in the fleet of Republic and NWA.
