Artist's Description

"Great results usually arise out of fear." Some where on the great plains of America in the late 1940s a freight train pulled by 4-8-4 steam engine at top speed to out run the encroaching tornado. A signal from the conductor riding the caboose on the end of the train alerted the engine crew to "run like hell." They are doing just that as the sun is going down to the west and lightning rages around this counter-rotating super cell. They didn't have the understanding of weather that we take for granted in our times. Life was more mysterious and dangerous in those days. We can only hope they made it. We'll never know.
